How to configure load balancing for DNS Records ?

Problem Statement

Client want to balance load or traffic on certain IP for a particular Zone.

SOLUTION

The client can achieve the above requirement by utilising the Load Balancing Algorithm under Haltdos GSLB.

1. First, log into the haltdos management console.

2. Click on GSLB > Go to Listener > Zones. > Configure a Zone > Click on Save Changes.

3. After creating a Zone User have to create its Record as well.

4. Click on Add Record > Configure Zone Record > Select Load Balancing from Drop Down LB Algorithm > Click on Save Record.

Note :- LB Algorithm can only be applied when Record Type is A or Quad A ("AAAA").
